When not directing MAS operations, Matthew prefers to indulge in his recently re-kindled love of golf. With memories of a previous 14 handicap he ‘spoils a good walk’ whenever he can. As a sponsor of Melton Mowbray Golf Club he continues a family connection as both his father and grandfather were past members. His love of cars also shows in a passion for both modern and classic motorsport, with visits to Donington Park and Silverstone when he can.
With over 15 years experience in Motor Trade administration, maintaining a firm grip on the MAS finances is second nature to Carole, but it still keeps her busy. When out of the back-office she enjoys baking and shopping with a particular love of ‘fine dining’, a luxury she experiences very little being married to Matthew!
The Horse Whisperer. When not in the workshop, Dave prefers a different type of horsepower. With his wife and daughter, he owns and cares for an ever changing stable of equine livestock, from a Shetland Pony to ex-racing Thoroughbreds, as well as a flock of sheep.
He admits that actual horse riding isn’t the attraction, it’s just the calmness of being around them that he enjoys, until of course, its time to pay the vets bill!
It’s power all the way for Maurice. He is rarely out of overalls, with most of his spare time (and funds) spent lovingly restoring his 1978 Ford Mustang that he has owned for 20 years.
Apprentice Jake is the most recent addition to the MAS team. He prefers two wheels to four at present, using a Honda 125 as his main transport. Growing up around his fathers’ classic bikes, Jake has ambitions for larger, faster machines, and hopes to atempt some road racing in the not to distant future.
